Our President's Message:

I am pleased to announce the launch of the Queens Village Civic Association (QVCA) website, a new online space designed with the goal is to make it easier than ever for everyone in our vibrant community to stay connected, informed, and be actively involved with the work we’re doing.

As a resident of Queens Village, you know how special our neighborhood is. It’s a place where neighbors look out for one another, and where our shared passion for making this community unites us. We wanted to create a platform that reflects the heart of Queens Village.

Our website offers a range of benefits that we believe will make a real difference for residents, businesses, and organizations in Queens Village. Here’s what you can look forward to:

  • Stay Informed: Get the latest updates on what’s happening in Queens Village. From local news to important community issues affecting our neighborhood, our website is your central hub for everything that matters to you and your neighbors. Whether its changes in city policy, upcoming meetings, or important community discussions you will always in the loop.
  • Join the Conversation: This website provides a space for you to share your thoughts, ideas, and concerns directly with us. We want to hear from you—your input helps shape the future of our community.  We believe that the strength of our community comes from the active involvement of its residents, and we want to make it as easy as possible for you to get involved.
  • Easy Access to Events & Volunteer Opportunities: Whether you’re looking to attend a meeting, participate in a community clean-up, or help out at an event, you’ll find everything you need in one convenient spot. It’s easier than ever to get involved and contribute to the spirit of Queens Village.
  • Membership Made Simple: If you’ve been thinking about joining the QVCA, now is the perfect time. Learn how to become a member of the Queens Village Civic Association and support our ongoing efforts to make a lasting impact on improving the neighborhood. Membership gives you access to resources, events, and opportunities to make an impact in our neighborhood.

I believe that the QVCA website will be a valuable resource for you and our entire community. I am excited about the opportunities this platform will open up, and I hope it inspires you to get involved in ways that matter most to you.

Thank you for being such an important part of the Queens Village community. I look forward to connecting with you online and seeing you at one of our upcoming meetings or events!

Our President's Message:

Dear Neighbors,
On behalf of the executives and members of the Queens Village Civic Association we want to welcome Capt. Douglas Moodie as the new Commanding Officer of the 105th Precicint, wish him success, and look forward to working with him. We would also like to thank Capt. Sonny Beauvoir for his dedicated and outstanding leadership as the commanding officer of the 105th Precinct during the last year and to wish him the best in his new assignment at the 116th Precinct.
As a way to encourage our local scholars at the Jean Nuzzi Intermediate School 109 to be more civic minded, students were invited to participate in an essay writing contest based on the theme, “What is a Veteran?”. While everyone will receive a certificate of participation, the top three participants will receive a small financial prize, which will be awarded at the next meeting, and be asked to participate in our Memorial Day ceremony in May.
Our civic association held its election for new executives to serve in 2025 at our October meeting.
The following members were elected:
Nagassar (Ram) Ramgarib (President)
Beulah Wilson (Vice President)
Chris Trofemuk (Financial Secretary)
Mohamood Ishmael (Treasurer)
Sueann Amoroso (Recording Secretary)
Susan Lopez (Corresponding Secretary)
Leonard Fazioli

Thank You,
Ram (Nagassar Ramgarib)
